At Mitten Masterpiece, every new step is taken with intention. From the very beginning, our goal has been to create paint-by-numbers kits that feel elevated, thoughtful, and unmistakably Michigan. As our studio has grown, so has the demand to experience Mitten Masterpiece beyond our online shelves. We’re excited to share that we are officially stepping into the world of wholesale and retail—bringing our kits into select storefronts that share our values of craftsmanship, storytelling, and place.
Now Available in Charlevoix
We’re proud to announce that Mitten Masterpiece kits will soon be available at Dockside Books in downtown Charlevoix. This partnership feels especially meaningful. Dockside Books has become a beloved destination for both locals and visitors, known for its carefully curated selection and deep connection to the community.
Dockside Bookstore will be our exclusive Charlevoix retail partner, making it the only place in town where you can browse Mitten Masterpiece kits in person. For us, that exclusivity matters—it ensures that each retail relationship feels special, intentional, and aligned with the spirit of the place it represents.
Made by Hand, One Kit at a Time
Breaking into retail has meant long days in the studio—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Every Mitten Masterpiece retail kit is still made by hand, right here in Michigan. We personally mix each color using premium Golden Acrylics, carefully balancing consistency and richness so every painter has the same elevated experience.
Our canvases are printed, inspected, and prepared one by one. Paint pots are filled by hand. Each kit is assembled with care, ensuring it meets the standard we expect from our own work. This hands-on process is what allows us to maintain quality as we grow, even as we expand beyond direct-to-consumer.
